Comes to an end, again

Its my last day of work today at D'monte Educare. At first I wanted to work half more month during February, but after deep considerations, decided to enjoy the remaining 3 weeks of holidays with my friends and family before I go back to Sarawak again. Will definitely miss my students ...

I love his "I Love Cambodia" shirt !

Frankly speaking, the kids nowadays are really hard to teach and handle. The parents are too protective which cause them to become spoilt brats. According to Teacher Khor, I've improved my skills in handling kids(more precisely, I've learnt to become fiercer, hehe). Sometimes the way they act makes you angry, but at the same time makes you wanna laugh. All in all, I enjoy being called "Teacher Liew" and being around with the kids. :)

Some memorable moments with the students - (Educare's Penang Heritage Trip)

Chia Ying and Lik Wooi invited teachers to their house for BBQ during CNY , in conjunction of Lik Wooi's birthday which falls on 30th Jan.

Tomorrow is 1st of February - Sis is on leave and coming back! Mum & Dad have already purchased the tickets for The Viral Factor. Have not been to the cinema with the whole family for such a long time. Happy Holiday to me! ^^ Happy February to everyone !!

You Happy,I Happy

Waited eagerly for the Teh Family to arrive at our home to have a mini reunion lunch prepared by super mum during Chinese New Year Eve. Some dishes were given by Aunty Mei while my aunt from Ipoh prepared one of her specialty(白斩鸡) as well. 13 people having lunch at our backyard, it was really really merry. I love it when the house is filled with laughter and chattering.

Awesome lunch set up by us.

After lunch, the cousins suggested to go shopping at Queensbay. Without any hesitation, all of us agreed so Sis drove us to Queensbay. This is the first time sis is fetching us out and we were quite nervous :P After shopping, Cousin Penny treated us to the Paddington's House of Pancakes for tea!

After a satisfying afternoon tea, we set home to prepare and dress up for dinner at E&O. One meal after another, guess we'll have to prepare a diet plan after CNY to keep fit.

With Cheeky Cousin Justin

As usual, we went to the hotel slightly earlier to snap some family photos before the dinner commences.

Happy Family

This year was a bit special, we went home for countdown to avoid the crowd and traffic congestion. The adults chatted and enjoyed their wine while we the teenagers played cards :)

Cheers!

Wonderful CNY Eve spent with the extended family . Hope everyone enjoyed it with their family too!

I am thankful for everyday

Weekends were always meant for shopping and this weekend I went shopping with my two best buddies and my parents. It was not very fruitful as I went home empty-handed during my first day of shopping but i treasure every moment spent with my friends and family.

Had dinner with Laine and Da at "Chai Diam Ma" last night.

Today we made a spontaneous decision to have the famous laksa (who recently won the Penang's Battle of the Hawker's Award)for lunch. It was nostalgic and brought back some high school memories as me and my gang would usually hang around there and have laksa for lunch before tuition.

All in all, it was a really good weekend and hope everyone working or schooling will have a good week at work/school before CNY!

The sun goes down, the star comes up

Woke up as early as 7am this morning to go to the Air Itam market with my parents. Had to reach the market early as it is packed with people and cars. Tried the special curry mee which is located by the roadside. Some people squat by the roadside to enjoy the curry mee while others can choose to enjoy the curry mee in the mini kopitiam located just opposite the stall. This is the first time i try curry mee which uses char bee hoon as the noodle. We also tried the pipping hot chee cheong fun which is equally good.Walked around the market after breakfast. This place is full of childhood memories as it is where my dad grew up and we used to visit my grandmother at her shop house when me and my sister were still in primary school. The only thing i dislike about the place is that there are motors everywhere and it is hard to cross the road. Nevertheless, i enjoy visiting the market because of the wide array of food served and all the cute cute things sold in the market.

Happened to see this poodle dog being hung in front of a shop. Submitted this to The Star where they have a column for nice or special photos. Hopefully I can be the lucky winner ;)

Work work work

Today was the students' first day of school after the long holidays. All teachers were busy preparing the students for school especially the Standard One students. For me, tying buns was the hardest part - worse when everyone is in such a hurry.

After going through all the hassles, it still feels good watching the students go to school in neat uniform, happily. Too bad i couldn't capture their smart looks as our mobile phones are now kept in the lockers.

Before i end this post, I'd like to recommend a TVB drama i had been watching recently ...

A well-written story line with a perfect ending. Must watch!

Kick start Breakfast

My family would usually have breakfast at some coffee shop serving local delicacies or dim sum but we decided to start our New Year with a good breakfast @ Coffee Bean since we have not visited Coffee Bean for quite some time. Enjoyed every moment chatting with my family while enjoying the scrumptious food served. It would be even better if my sister was there to enjoy with us. Love to spend time with my family ♥

Have a great 2012 everyone!
